Internet Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2

Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly contain one of these. You generally put a wager (a dollar is the normal amount) to attempt to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Though big jackpots like these are extremely alluring, they’re also very difficult to win. You might need to get a Royal Flush in order to win this wager. Also, think about this- you play 20 hands and place the side bet each time. That’s 20 dollars you could have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker bet. Picture what you might have been able to win at a wager with more favorable odds using that $20.
Individual number bets in Roulette: This is particularly true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just 1. This takes the overall casino advantage from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a huge 5.26% in American. The one number bet has only a one in 38 chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much lower casino edge.
Keno: Any version of Keno, and regardless of how you gamble on it, the casino edge can be a whopping twenty-five percent. Yes, that isn’t a error. Because of the huge amount of numbers you must pick, it is not recommended to play Keno to often. A few times for enjoyment, perhaps. But don’t spend all your cash on it or you’ll quickly find yourself beaten.
